Who runs this site
Anand Kumar Founder & Editor
I started SchengenVisaSupport.com after going through the Schengen visa process myself first from India, then multiple times as an Ireland resident applying to France, Germany, and Spain. The official guidance across 27 embassy websites is fragmented, outdated, and written in bureaucratic language. This site exists to fix that.
I research consular requirements across all 29 Schengen member states, cross-reference content with EU Regulation (EC) No 810/2009 (the Visa Code), and update guides whenever fees, VFS/BLS processes, or embassy rules change.
This site is not a visa consultancy, embassy, legal service, or application centre. I cannot process applications, guarantee approvals, or provide individual legal advice.
What's on this site
- Country guides France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Greece, Portugal, Austria, and 20+ more
- Document guides employment letters, bank statements, flight itineraries, accommodation proof, proof of ties
- Ireland focus Ireland to Schengen guides for IRP holders and Irish residents applying via VFS Global Dublin
- India focus VFS Global India city guides and BLS centre jurisdiction maps
- Applicant profiles self-employed, unemployed, students, retirees, first-time applicants
How I keep information current
Visa fees, financial thresholds, and VFS/BLS procedures change frequently. I update guides when:
- Official Schengen visa fees change (last increase: €80 → €90 in June 2024)
- New EU regulations take effect (EES, ETIAS rollouts)
- VFS Global or BLS International update their processes
- Readers flag outdated information via the contact page
Last full site review: July 2026. Time-sensitive data (fees, processing times, approval rates) is reviewed quarterly.
How this site is funded
SchengenVisaSupport.com is free to use. It's funded by display advertising (Ezoic/Google AdSense) and affiliate commissions from travel services hotel bookings, flight reservations, and travel insurance. Affiliate links are disclosed. Recommendations are based on usefulness, not commission rates.
